You can never have too many ideas stored away for teacher gifts. I created these “It’s a Treat Having You as a Teacher” tags with no holiday or specific occasion in mind. Print a few and use them any time you want to give your teachers a little lift in their day. You may download your free printable tags using the form at the end of these instructions.
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this page. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet, with four circle tags on a page.
For paper, use a white cardstock. If you do not have a printer, you can also have them printed at Staples or an office store local to you.
Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
The tool you need to make these tags is an extra large circle punch. This design is compatible with a 3.5 inch circle. I used this punch that I bought on Amazon and I love it. It is so easy to use.
First, trim the white border so that you can fully insert the tag into the punch. Next, insert your sheet and flip the punch over so that you can center the design inside the frame. Then just press down. You now have a perfect circle.
Use your small hole punch to create a hole for the baker’s twine at the top of the tag. I punched it and the bag together.
STEP 3 Package the Treats
I used little brown paper sacks, but cellophane bags would also look beautiful. Fill the bag with any treat, such as cookies or candy.
I wrapped yellow baker’s twine several times around the bag, and then attached the tag and tied a bow.
