I have always liked stylized designs. The absence of detail makes the the image bolder. It becomes a statement. These modern peacock feather tags may be customized with your text in Adobe Reader. Materials:
Printer (you may also bring the PDF to a copy store near you–I used Fed Ex)
Cardstock
Scissors
3.5 inch Hole Punch
Mini Clothespins
Brown Paper Sacks
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this page. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet, with four circle tags on a page.
To edit, open the file in Adobe Reader, which is a free download. Then, just click in one of the highlighted fields and type.
For paper, use a white or colored cardstock. If you do not have a printer, you can also have them printed at Staples or an office store local to you.
Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
The tool you need to make these tags is an extra large circle punch. This design is compatible with a 3.5 inch circle. I used this punch that I bought on Amazon a couple of years ago and I love it. It still cuts perfectly and is so easy to use.
First, trim the white border so that you can fully insert the tag into the punch. Next, insert your sheet and flip the punch over so that you can center the design inside the frame. Then just press down.
You now have a perfect circle.
STEP 3 Package Your Gifts
I used little brown paper sacks, but any gift wrap will do. These are so simple, they will match any number of wrapping papers or bags. I folded down the tops of the bags, and then clipped everything together with a mini clothespin.
