Showing appreciation for teachers has always been incredibly important, and it became much more so during the past two years. In 2020, teachers were suddenly called upon to develop new online lesson plans, and learn the tech tools with which to teach virtually. Since then, many have become sickened at work, they have had to teach in person when us office workers were still teleworking, they have endured curriculum battles, and they have dealt with scared parents and differing, often passionate, views on health care measures. And that is just the surface of it. I hope everyone spends a little time thanking the teachers in their lives this year. I will try to roll out a few teacher tags between now and teacher appreciation week. These tags say You Are Just Write and they can be used with desk or classroom supplies. The printable gift tags may be downloaded free using the form at the bottom of this post.
Materials:
Printer
Scissors or Paper Cutter
Kraft Cardstock
Hole Punch
Twine or Ribbon
Gift ideas: Colored pencils, pretty notebooks, sticky notes
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this page. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet, with eight tags on a page. Open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader. It is a free download from Adobe if you do not already have it.
For paper, use a bright white cardstock or Kraft cardstock (I used Kraft). If you do not have a printer, you can also just have them printed at an office store local to you. Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
Use your paper cutter to cut out the gift tags along the crop lines. You may use scissors if you don’t have a paper cutter, but it is easier to get them straight with the cutter.
STEP 3 Attach Tags
Use these tags with any writing related gift, such as colored pencils, markers, fine pens, or notebooks. Add a gift card if you have the resources to do so, or keep it simple with the gift that fits your budget.
