I decided to do something a bit different today and design an invitation template that you can edit and print at home. This design is very simple, and is done in classic black and white with a floral line drawing. It is perfect for when you have limited time or money resources, as you won’t have to wait for a professional printer and the only cost is the paper and ink. My example has the text for a bridal shower invitation, but you can use it for any occasion.
Download the PDF at the bottom of this page and save it to your hard drive. Then open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Even though the PDF will open in your web browser and other applications, it is important that you use Adobe Reader on a computer to edit it, or it will not work properly. It is a free download from Adobe if you do not already have it.
There are two invitations per page, with crop lines for cutting to 5×7 inches. Once the file is open, click in the blue highlighted fields and type your information. I left some example text there, which you can just delete and edit as necessary. You only have to fill out one itinerary on the page; the other one will auto-populate when you hit the TAB key. Then save and print as many as you like. Use any 8.5×11 inch cardstock A few of my recommendations are:
Once you have them printed, cut out using a paper cutter. You can then slip into standard 5×7 inch envelopes.
