A Summer Treat For Someone Sweet Free Printable Gift Tags

A Summer Treat for Someone Sweet Free Printable Gift Tags

This summer will be different. We will be at home more. See fewer people. Travel less. I plan to make the best of it by spending more time in my garden, continuing to take morning walks, and practicing my piano. But I still feel a little sad about the plans that have been canceled. A little gift from a friend can do wonders to cheer someone up as we head into summer. These “A Summer Treat for Someone Sweet” gift tags can be tied onto a little bag of candy or cookies. They are great for end of school year teacher gifts, clients, or friends. You may download your free printable tags using the form at the end of these instructions.

Materials:

Printer
White Cardstock
Scissors
3.5 inch Hole Punch
.25 inch Hole Punch
Baker’s Twine
Paper Favor Bags
Clothespins

STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags

Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this page. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet, with four circle tags on a page.

For paper, use a white cardstock.  If you do not have a printer, you can also have them printed at Staples or an office store local to you.

Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.

STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags

The tool you need to make these tags is an extra large circle punch. This design is compatible with a 3.5 inch circle. I used this punch that I bought on Amazon and I love it. It is so easy to use.

Trim the sheet to remove a little of the border, so you are able to fully insert it into the punch. Insert your sheet and flip the punch over so that you can center the design inside the frame. Then just press down.

You now have a perfect circle. Punch a small hole at the top for your twine.

STEP 3 Package the Treats

I used little paper sacks. Fill the bags with any sweet treat. I folded down the bags and then wrapped baker’s twine around the tops, tying a simple bow. I clipped everything together with a white clothespin.
