I cannot seem to stop making holiday gift tags, even though the season is upon us. But, I figure some of you are probably running as late as I am, and might still be searching for ideas. So . . . these A Christmas Treat for Someone Sweet gift tags are in a red and green Christmas color palette, and are perfect for giving chocolates, cookies, and other sweet treats. You may download your free printable tags using the form at the end of these instructions.
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this page. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet, with four circle tags on a page.
For paper, use a white cardstock. If you do not have a printer, you can also have them printed at Staples or an office store local to you.
Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
The tool you need to make these tags is an extra large circle punch. This design is compatible with a 3.5 inch circle. I used this punch that I bought on Amazon and I love it. It is so easy to use.
Trim the sheet to remove a little of the border, so you are able to fully insert it into the punch. Insert your sheet and flip the punch over so that you can center the design inside the frame. Then just press down.
You now have a perfect circle. Punch a small hole at the top for your twine.
STEP 3 Package the Treats
I used little kraft paper sacks. Fill the bags with any sweet treat. I folded down the bags and then wrapped red and green baker’s twine around the tops, tying a simple bow. Happy Holidays.
