I am continuing my exploration of digital painting. My latest creation is an illustration of red baby sneakers. They are gender neutral and are perfect for your next baby shower. I used a scalloped circle punch, but you can use a different shape, as long as the size is similar. The printable gift tags may be downloaded free using the form at the bottom of this post.
Materials:
Printer (you may also bring the PDF to a copy store near you–I used Fed Ex)
Scissors
Scalloped Circle Punch, 2.25 inches
White Cardstock
Hole Punch
Clothespins (Optional)
Brown Paper Sacks
Baker’s Twine
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this page. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet, with nine tags on a page.
For paper, use a bright white cardstock. If you do not have a printer, you can also just have them printed at an office store local to you.
Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
The tool you need to make these tags is a 2.25 inch circle punch. I used this punch that I bought on Amazon. It has a pretty scalloped edge. Roughly cut the tags with scissors to remove excess border as needed. Insert your paper and flip the punch over so that you can center the design inside the frame. Then just press down.
STEP 3 Attach Tags
Use your small hole punch to create a hole for the string. I used brown paper bags for my gifts. Fold down the top of the bags, then punch a hole through it. Tie the tag to the bag using baker’s twine or ribbon. You can clip with a clothespin, if desired.
