I like to keep a few tags printed and ready to go for whenever I need to quickly wrap a gift. These simple and elegant thank you tags work perfectly for that purpose. You may print them on any color of cardstock, cut out with a paper cutter, and then write a little note on the back before tying to your gift. The printable thank you gift tags may be downloaded free using the form at the bottom of this post.
Materials:
Printer (you may also bring the PDF to a copy store near you–I used Fed Ex)
Scissors or Paper Cutter
Ivory Cardstock
Hole Punch
Wrapped Gift (I used a box wrapped in kraft paper with black satin ribbon)
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this page. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet, with nine tags on a page.
For paper, use any cardstock. I chose ivory, but any color will do. Just make sure it is not too dark or the words will be difficult to read. If you do not have a printer, you can also just have them printed at an office store local to you.
Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
Use your paper cutter to cut out the gift tags along the crop lines. You may use scissors if you don’t have a paper cutter, but it is easier to get them straight with the cutter. I chamfered the corners of mine after I had cut out the rectangles.
I punched a hole in the top of the tag using a quarter inch hole punch.
STEP 3 Attach Tags
I wrapped my box in basic kraft paper I bought on Amazon. I then dressed it up with a luxurious black satin ribbon that I found at the Container Store. I like the Container Store’s ribbons better than any I have ever found at a typical craft store. This one was double-sided and wired, so it was easy to fluff the bow.
