St. Patrick’s Day is a fun holiday. There are no high expectations, and you can celebrate it or not. I decided to enliven my house a little this year, and so I made a shamrock garland from green paper and baker’s twine. It was super easy, and is great for parties or just to decorate for a day or two.
Materials:
Green Paper
Hole Punch, 1/8 inch
Baker’s Twine
Scissors
STEP 1 Cut into Squares
Cut paper into four equally sized squares. Trim off excess and discard or put in your scrap bin.
STEP 2 Fold
Fold each square in half, then in half again in the other direction.
Fold again on the diagonal, so that you have a triangle.
STEP 3 Cut heart shape
Starting about a half inch above the center, cut a half heart shape.
After you unfold, you will have a Shamrock. Repeat until you have enough to create your garland.
STEP 4 Punch Holes & String
Punch holes for the twine, then run the twine in and out of the shamrocks.
Hang and enjoy! I put mine along my banister.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Oh! I love this! 💖
Thank you, it was fun!
