Friends Like You Make the World Colorful Free Printable Valentines

I used to love getting Valentine cards ready to share with my class each year. Back then, we’d pick out a box at People’s Drug Store and simply write our classmates’ names on each card. A few kids might slip conversation hearts into the envelopes, but giving a gift wasn’t really a thing. These days, of course, Valentine’s cards and treats have become much more elaborate, and most kids end up heading home with more candy than they know what to do with. That’s why I decided to create a non-candy Valentine card and gift idea. This free printable says, “Friends Like You Make the World Colorful.” You can tape or glue a crayon or a small colorful pen to the card for a fun finishing touch. Alternatively, you can tie the card to a small box of crayons. The free printable is available to download at the bottom of this post.

Materials:

Color Printer (you may also bring the PDF to a copy store near you–I use Fed Ex often)
Paper Cutter or Scissors
White Cardstock
Washi Tape
Crayons

STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags

Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this sheet. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet, with six cards on a page.

For paper, use a bright white cardstock. If you do not have a printer, you can also just have them printed at an office store local to you. The cost is less than a dollar per sheet, and many vendors will also cut them for you.

Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.

STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags

I prefer to use a paper cutter when I am cutting out cards, as it helps to get the corners perfectly square using the guides. If you don’t have a paper cutter, however, you can also use scissors.

STEP 3 Add crayons

Write your name on the back of the cards. Tape a crayon or two to each. Enjoy!
