We are a little over a month away from Valentine’s Day. I like giving small gifts to friends on or around February 14, and these pink and red gift tags are perfect for candy. They read “Hope Your Day Is The Sweetest” and can be used for friends, neighbors, teachers, or kids. They would be great for classroom gifts at school, as well as Valentine party favor tags. There’s just something magical about receiving a gift adorned with a handmade tag, especially on Valentine’s Day. The printable gift tags may be downloaded free using the form at the bottom of this post.
Alternative: Purchase a printed and PERSONALIZED version of the tags here.
Materials for DIY tags:
Printer
Scissors
2.5 Inch Paper Punch
Small Hole Punch
White Cardstock
Favor Bags
Twine or Ribbon
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this page. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet, with nine tags on a page.
For paper, use a bright white cardstock. If you do not have a printer, you can also just have them printed at an office store local to you. Once you are ready, open the file in Adobe Acrobat Reader and then print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
I used a 2.5 inch circle punch to cut out the tags. First, trim the white border to allow you to insert the sheet and center the circle. Flip your punch over, so that you can see the design inside the frame. Then just press down. Use your small punch to create a hole for the string at the top of the tag.

STEP 3 Attach Tags
I used small burlap favor bags for my gifts. I tied on the tags with baker’s twine.
