Wedding season is quickly approaching, and I can tell by the hits on my blog that many of you are in full planning mode. It is difficult to come up with the perfect wedding favor that suits you as a couple, is within your budget, and also isn’t labor intensive. While many brides and grooms want to make their own favors, when it gets closer to the day often there simply is not time. Fortunately, there are many options out there and creatives who are willing to do the work for you. I spent some time this week looking around on Etsy and other sites, and put together a list of my favorite 22 wedding favor ideas for 2023. Many of these work for bridal showers and other parties as well, so they are worth a look even if you aren’t getting married this year.
Note: This list was originally posted in 2022, and has been updated for 2023.

Infused Olive Oil. I have always thought that edible wedding favors are the best idea, and olive oil is near the top of the list. Everyone has a bottle in their kitchen, and it is delicious as a dip for crusty bread. I really like these infused olive oils, especially the rosemary option, with pretty personalized hang tags. Match bottles. These personalized bottles are simply adorable. The creator will customize them in a variety of typefaces and colors, so you can match them to your event. See price on Etsy.

Soap bars. The wedding ring tags grabbed my attention when I was looking at the many soap favors out there. When I looked further, I saw that these also come with your choice of floral bouquet, color, and scent. Guests will love them. See price on Etsy.

Dreamcatchers. These sweet keychains with custom tags will make a beautiful favor display at your wedding. Bonus, you will be sending your guests home with a protective charm. See price on Etsy.

Hot sauce. I love a good hot sauce. The minimalistic labels really set these apart from the typical mini Tabasco bottles. See price on Etsy.

Temporary Tattoos. These are not so much a favor as an Instagram moment, but they will give your guests a few laughs. Kids will especially love them. See price on Etsy.

Moscow Mule Mugs. I really wanted to add these to the list, and after some searching I found some that were more affordable than most copper mugs. Fill them with your signature cocktail, and tie on tags so your guests know that they are theirs to keep. See price on Amazon.

Chocolate Bars. If edible gifts are the best wedding favor, then chocolate is the best of the best. The customizable bouquet wrapping is perfect for a rustic summer wedding. See price on Etsy.

Vintage China. I love this Etsy seller’s collection of pretty mismatched dishes. Incorporate a mix of plates into your dessert or cake table, and include a note that guests may pick their favorite and bring it home with them. Alternatively, prettily wrap them with a couple of cookies, and send them home with everyone for a midnight snack. See price on Etsy.

Hangover Kit. If you just know that your festivities are going to lead to some excess, be sure to give your guests the supplies they need to recover for a comfortable trip home. See price on Etsy.

Maracas. Shake things up at your fiesta-themed wedding or welcome dinner. Your guests will love shaking these hand-painted maracas on the dance floor and during your wedding send off. See price on Etsy.

Playing Cards. Personalize playing cards for a sweet memento they are sure to use. See price on Etsy.

Hand Fans. Of all the fans I looked at, these were by far the best. They are made with wood and hand-woven palm fiber, and you can optionally have them engraved with your initials and date. Can’t you just picture these mounted on a display for guests to take as they enter your southern venue? See price on Etsy.

Tea Tins. I just like the look of these assorted tea tins. Fill with tea, nuts, candy, or any other small snack. See price on Amazon.

Chopsticks. I stumbled across these engraved chopsticks when I was browsing Etsy, and love the idea of using them for wedding favors. They are easy for guests to slip into their suitcases for the trip home. See price on Etsy.
