I really am enjoying making gift tags with kraft cardstock lately. I love the natural look, and you can dress them up with ribbon or use simple twine, like I did. I had wedding favor tags in mind when I designed these tags, but you can use them for favors at any occasion of parties. The tags read thanks for celebrating with us, and are perfect for bridal showers, engagement parties, and bachelorette weekends. The printable gift tags may be downloaded free at the bottom of this post.
Materials:
Printer
Scissors
Cardstock
2.5 Inch Paper Punch
Hole Punch
Twine or Ribbon
Brown Paper Sacks
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this page. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet, with nine tags on a page.
For paper, use a bright white cardstock. If you do not have a printer, you can also just have them printed at an office store local to you. Once you are ready, open the file in Adobe Acrobat Reader and then print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
I used a square paper punch, 2.5 inch size, to cut out the tags. (You can also use a paper cutter, but I generally find the punch to be easier and faster.) First, trim the border to allow you to insert the sheet and center. Flip your punch over, so that you can see the design inside the frame. Then just press down. I used simple brown paper bags and natural twine for my gift, and then added small white clothespins I bought at a craft store.
