I know a number of you are small business owners. I decided to design an editable gift tag that you can use for branding and product packaging, especially if you sell items on Etsy, eBay, or Shopify. These diy logo tags can also be used for marketing gifts for clients, if you are a realtor or own a business. The gift tags are easy to use and personalize. All you have to do is add your own logo in Adobe Acrobat Reader. There is also a text field under the logo (I left my example tag blank) that you can use to write your name, contact information, or a short message. If you do not need these tags for business purposes, they work for personal use as well. Instead of a logo, just add a picture of your choice, then type your message underneath. The tags are simple and go well with natural wrapping, such as kraft paper or tissue paper, and a jute twine or simple string. The editable and printable gift tags may be downloaded free using the form at the bottom of this post.
Materials:
Printer
Scissors or Paper Cutter
Kraft Cardstock (you may also use white, cream, or your color choice)
Hole Punch
Twine or Ribbon
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the 8.5 x 11 inch PDF at the bottom of this page and save it to your hard drive. Then open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Even though the PDF will open in your web browser and other applications, it is important that you use Adobe Reader on a computer to edit it, or it will not work properly. It is a free download from Adobe if you do not already have it.
Once the file is open, click in the image field to replace the placeholder with your logo or image. Then, if you wish to add text, click in the blue highlighted text field and type your information. You only have to fill out one tag on the page; the others will auto-populate when you hit the TAB key. Then save and print as many as you like.
For paper, use a bright white, kraft or pastel cardstock. If you do not have a printer, you can also just have them printed at an office store local to you. Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
Use your paper cutter to cut out the gift tags along the crop lines. You may use scissors if you don’t have a paper cutter, but it is easier to get them straight with the cutter. Punch a hole for the string or ribbon.

STEP 3 Attach Tags
Use these tags with any product and your choice of wrapping and twine. They will upgrade your product wrapping instantly, and help you to apply a cohesive brand to your shop.
