It has been a while since I have posted a wedding favor tag. This is actually the second time I have done “a sweet ending to a new beginning” gift tags. I varied the size and colors, and also created a field where you can add names to personalize them. I highly recommend you use a square punch to cut these, as it help make them consistent in size. The gift tags may be downloaded free using the form at the bottom of this post.
Materials:
Printer
Scissors
2.5 Inch Paper Punch
Small Hole Punch
White Cardstock (or your color choice — light colors work best)
Kraft Favor Bags
Twine or Ribbon
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the 8.5 x 11 inch PDF at the bottom of this page and save it to your hard drive. Then open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Even though the PDF will open in your web browser and other applications, it is important that you use Adobe Reader on a computer to edit it, or it will not work properly. It is a free download from Adobe if you do not already have it.
Once the file is open, click in the blue highlighted field and type your information. You only have to fill out one tag on the page; the others will auto-populate when you hit the TAB key. Then save and print as many as you like.
For paper, use a bright white or pastel cardstock. If you do not have a printer, you can also just have them printed at an office store local to you. Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
I used a 2.5 inch punch to cut out the tags. First, trim the white border to allow you to insert the sheet and center the square. Flip your punch over, so that you can see the design inside the frame. Then just press down. Use your small punch to create a hole for the string at the top of the tag.
STEP 3 Attach Tags
I used small kraft paper bags, with a hole punched in the bag for attaching the tags. I just tied on the tags with baker’s twine and used a clothespin to hold it all together.
