I think St. Patrick’s Day gifts are among the most fun to give because they are unexpected. This idea uses supplies you can buy on Amazon. Drawstring burlap favor bags are perfect little leprechaun pouches, and you can fill them with any candy that has gold wrappers. I included a free printable Happy St. Patrick’s Day tag. The printable gift tags may be downloaded free using the form at the bottom of this post.
Materials:
Printer
White Cardstock
Scissors
Scalloped Circle Punch, 2.25 inches
Clothespins
Burlap Bag
Candy with Gold Wrappers, Such as Chocolate Coins, Rolos, or Ferrero Rocher Hazelnut Chocolates
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this page. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet, with twelve tags on a page.
For paper, use a bright white cardstock. If you do not have a printer, you can also just have them printed at an office store local to you.
Once you are ready, open the file in Adobe Acrobat Reader and then print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
The tool you need to make these tags is a 2.25 inch circle punch. I used this punch that I bought on Amazon. It has a scalloped border. Trim the tags with scissors to remove excess border as needed. Flip the punch over so that you can center the design inside the frame, and then insert your paper. Align. Then just press down.
STEP 3 Attach Tags to Gift
Fill the bags with chocolate gold coins or your preferred treat. Clip the tags to the bags with white clothespins. They are ready for your leprechauns!
