Today I felt winter. The temperature dropped in Washington D.C., and tonight it will dip below 30 degrees. Brrr. All this to say, it makes the idea that the holidays are coming seem more real. These are simple tags you can use to give treats to teachers, clients, neighbors, staff . . . or anyone you want to wish a “sweet” Christmas. You may download your free printable tags using the form at the end of these instructions.
Materials:
Printer
Cardstock
Scissors
2 inch Hole Punch
1/4 inch Hole Punch
Baker’s Twine
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this page. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet.
For paper, use a cardstock in your color choice. If you do not have a printer, you can also have them printed at Staples or an office store local to you.
Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
The tool you need to make these tags is a circle punch. This design is compatible with a 2 inch circle. I used this punch that I bought on Amazon.
First, trim the border so that you can fully insert the tag into the punch. Next, insert your sheet and flip the punch over so that you can center the design inside the frame. Then just press down. You now have a perfect circle.
Use your small hole punch to create a hole for the string at the top of the tag.
STEP 3 Tie String
I tied a piece of baker’s twine to each tag, so they will be ready to go when I am ready to package my treats next month.
