Baby Elephant Gift Tags

Free Printable Elephant Baby Shower Gift Tags

I have been experimenting with digital painting during the past few weeks. It’s been a fun process, even though I am not an artist and will probably never be entirely happy with my work. But, I have finally gotten my technique to the point where I am ready to share a little. First up is this baby elephant holding a balloon. I had a baby shower in mind, but it also works wonderfully for an animal-loving child’s birthday. I sized the tags for use with my new Fiskars Tag Maker. Several of my readers have purchased this craft punch recently, so I decided to give it a go myself. The free printable elephant gift tags may be downloaded free using the form at the bottom of this post.

STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags

Download the PDF using the email form at the bottom of this page and save it. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet, with eight tags on a page.

For paper, use a bright white cardstock. If you do not have a printer, you can also just have them printed at an office store local to you.

Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.

STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags

The tool you need to make these tags is the Fiskars large tag punch.  Roughly cut the tags with scissors to remove excess border as needed. Insert your paper and flip the punch over so that you can center the design inside the frame. Then just press down.

Then, turn the punch over and insert the tag into the smaller slot to make a hole for the ribbon.

Finally, if desired, you can use the tool again to attach an eyelet to give your tag a more polished look. All you have to do is slip the tag hole onto the peg, place an eyelet on top, and then press down. I got it right on my first try, so don’t worry if you are not very crafty. The tool comes with only 20 eyelets, but you may buy more here.

STEP 3 Attach Tags

I used brown paper sacks for my favors. I folded them down once, then punched a hole in the top using a (regular) hole punch. I attached my tags with green ribbon.
