It’s not even summer yet but the days are longer and the busy has gotten busier. I traveled a bit last weekend, and didn’t get a chance to post anything new. But, here is a simple party favor tag that gets right to the point: Take Me Home. You may download your free printable tags using the form at the bottom of this page.
Materials:
Printer (you may also bring the PDF to a copy store near you–I used Fed Ex)
Cardstock
Scissors
3.5 inch Hole Punch
.25 inch Hole Punch
String
Brown Paper Bags
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this page. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet, with four circle tags on a page.
For paper, use a white or colored cardstock. If you do not have a printer, you can also have them printed at Fed Ex, Staples or an office store local to you.
Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
The tool you need to make these tags is an extra large circle punch. This design is compatible with a 3.5 inch circle. I used this punch that I bought on Amazon and I love it. It is so easy to use.
First, trim the white border so that you can fully insert the tag into the punch. Next, insert your sheet and flip the punch over so that you can center the design inside the frame. Then just press down.
You now have a perfect circle. Punch a small hole in the top of the tag.
STEP 3 Package Your Gifts
I used handled brown paper bags, but any gift wrap will do. These are so simple that they go with almost anything. I tied my tag to the handle of the bag with gold metallic string.

I’m curious what weight paper you use. I’ve printed a couple of these through my UPS Store and when I go home to print with the 3.5 inch circle you use (got it from the Amazon affiliate link), the hole punch can’t go through the paper. I’m wondering if I order paper that is too thick when I print at UPS Store. Thanks!!
Hi Alison! I have been using Fed Ex’s 80 lb cardstock most recently. I am not sure what weight you are using from UPS, but if the paper is not the issue, it could be you got a ‘bad’ punch and in that case I recommend returning it. Mine has no issues punching through the cardstock. Thanks for visiting my site, and I hope you can resolve it!
