Spring is here, and with it comes parties, showers, and teacher appreciation week. If you are looking for a small thank you gift for a client, favor, or someone who has gone the extra mile, then this idea is perfect. I used a little bottle of nail polish, but you can also put together a manicure kit. The mani thanks gift tags may be downloaded free using the form at the bottom of this post.
Materials:
Printer (you may also bring the PDF to a copy store near you–I used Fed Ex)
White Cardstock or Sticker Paper
Scissors
Circle Punch, 2 inch
Nail Polish
Baker’s Twine
Small Hole Punch
Poly Bags
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this sheet. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet, with twelve 2-inch circle tags on a page.
For paper, use a white cardstock or full-sheet sticker paper. If you do not have a printer, you can also have them printed at Fed Ex, Staples or an office store local to you.
Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
The tool you need to make these tags is a 2-inch circle punch. I used this punch that I bought on Amazon and I love it. I purchased it five years ago and use it tons, and it still cuts beautifully.
First, trim the sheet, removing much of the white border around the edge. It doesn’t need to be straight as you will be cutting it again with the punch. Next, insert your sheet and flip the punch over so that you can center the design inside the frame. Then just press down.
You now have a perfect circle. Repeat until all circles are cut. If you plan to tie the tags onto packages, punch a small hole in the top of each tag.
STEP 3 Package the Nail Polish (or Manicure Kit)
I recently discovered Smith and Cult nail polish and it is fantastic. It lasts forever without chipping. Plus, the bottles are so cute. It is a definite upgrade on drug store polish, and perfect for a gift. Package your gifts however you wish, and then attach the tags.
I put mine in poly bags and tied with baker’s twine.
