It has been one week and a zillion unforgettable moments since we arrived in Italy, and it still feels like I am living in a dream. We’ve been to Rome, Florence, and are now in Cinque Terre. Tonight we took a walk around the town where we are staying, Manarola, just before the sun set. I packed very light for this trip, since there are so many hills and stairs over which to lug suitcases. These jogger pants are the perfect travel companion. They roll up very small, are loose and comfortable, and work for both dinner and daytime sightseeing. I love how lightweight they are for the warm Italian climate.
The top was an impulse buy at Anthropologie last week. I am pretty sure my subconscious was channeling the photos of I had been drooling over of the vibrant, colorful houses built along the terraced coastline, because the pattern of the fabric looks so much like those. It is the perfect layering piece and looks great with a jacket, or you can just carry a scarf to throw over your shoulders after the sun sets. Best of all, it does not wrinkle, which is essential when you are traveling.
The only pair of non-trekking shoes I brought with me was my leopard print Tieks. They match nothing, and so match everything. I will blog more about the trip when we return. Until then, Ciao!
