Wrapping Up the Wraparound Porch

Daybed

So my parents just moved into a new house they had designed and built. I am way excited for them.  I am a military brat (more on that in a future post) and we moved many times during my childhood, then they kept moving for 10 years beyond that.  Building a house was never a possibility, but now it is and they have done it.

The new digs are in Waco, Texas, where they’ve lived since my dad retired from the air force.  The house’s character-defining feature is its wraparound porch—and it wraps all the way around.  That is a lot of real estate to furnish, but they are off to a running start and I just had to share the photos.

Outdoor daybeds.  I didn’t know there were so many options for outside napping, but things are smaller here on the East Coast.  Mom and Dad got the English Garden Daybed in Western Red Cedar, stained in oak, and it is perfect.  Take a look.

It’s a wrap.  Shopping ideas below.
