These will probably be the simplest gift tags I design this season. I used a typeface with an ornate Victorian feel, and paired it with a black and white color palette. The tags read Merry Merry Merry, and can be used for any occasion this holiday season. You may download your free printable tags using the form at the end of these instructions.
STEP 1 Download and Print Your Tags
Download the PDF using the link at the bottom of this page. Save it to your hard drive or a thumb drive. The PDF is a letter size, 8.5×11 inch sheet.
For paper, use a white or pastel cardstock. If you do not have a printer, you can also have them printed at Staples or an office store local to you.
Once you are ready, print as many sheets as you need.
STEP 2 Cut Out Your Tags
I used this punch that I bought on Amazon to cut out my tags.
First, trim the border so that you can fully insert the tag into the punch. Next, insert your sheet and flip the punch over so that you can center the design inside the frame. Then just press down.
Insert the tag again as shown to make a hole for your ribbon or string at the top of the tag.
STEP 3 Attach Twine
I really like baker’s twine, and so I looped a piece through the hole. This way they are ready to go whenever I need a tag.
I tied mine to a gold polka dot gift box that I bought at the Paper Source.
